The “Pondera Online” project, granted by the F.R.S.-FNRS, aims to collect and study ancient commercial weights from the Hellenistic and Roman Greece and Asia Minor, thanks to a new open access database. The postdoctoral fellow will study ancient weights in their archaeological context, and analyze the development of metrological theories in relation with the building of private and museum collections.

For tax purposes, the candidate should not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (job, studies…) in Belgium for more than 24 months during the last 3 years. She/He should be engaged at the latest exactly 6 years after obtaining her/his PhD degree. The postdoctoral fellowship could start anytime between April 1st and July 1st, 2016.
