This is a new edition which replaces Inscriptions du Port d’Ostie by H. Thylander (1951-52).

To be sure, the source material of the new edition (latin funerary inscriptions of the necropolis) comprises mostly the part A of Inscriptions du Port d’Ostie by H. Thylander: “Inscriptions trouvées a gauche du Canal de Trajan, a l’Isola Sacra”, pp. 19-222. The inscriptions of the town of Portus, on the other side of Fiumicino, are not considered, nor the inscriptions of S. Ippolito, studied and published by D. Mazzoleni.
